I’ve been a big fan of Stefan Ruiz’ work since 2000 – wow, that’s eleven years ago! I am getting old… I noticed Stefan’s pictures in an issue of COLORS, it was the refugees issue which he photographed in Tanzania.
A few days ago, I discovered this awesome, inspiring interview with Stefan (via A Photo Editor, as always).
I really liked that little gesture he did when he was taking pictures in Mexico – he gestured to one of the kids to lift his chin up a bit. I honestly tell that to everyone I photograph! It really cracked me up. Also: two umbrellas -> great light.
