I’ve hinted at it already a bit that I’ve been working on a new series for annabelle, and now I am officially allowed to talk about it because the first article came out in yesterday’s issue. It’s a series about babies, or more specifically, the world the babies are born into (hence the title “Welcome To The World!”). Now, people who know me might chuckle about this, because they know I’m not very enthusiastic about babies or children in general. But – it’s been so interesting to look into these different micro-cosmoses and try to find out how you could translate the vibe into photos. Some of the mothers I’ve met during my work are die-hard mothers who live and breathe for their children. Others have a job that they love, that they couldn’t imagine living without and can’t wait to go back to after the baby break.
The photos I’m presenting here were taken in a house for young mothers, a social institution, and some of them were used for the first article.
