…I, the overly enthousiastic photographer, try to sound ultra nice and use a lot of good words when trying to convince someone of something and they just respond in one phrase – as happened here, in my conversation with soldier Rollings from my project Army of One:
Elisabeth: Your house looks nice, I just saw it on Google Maps! I will call your girl when I’m in New York to confirm my visit. – I am actually planning on publishing all these stories in a “real” book this coming summer. You are cool with being photographed and interviewed again, right? I’d like to stick around for a few days and follow you like a shadow to see what you’re up to these days… to show your life after the Army. Of course you will be able see the pictures and read the interview before it goes into print. We can talk about this more when I’m there, in any case, I’m looking forward to seeing you soon again and meeting your family.
Rollings: yea thats fine
