Army Of One was featured on this week’s SRF program Kulturplatz! I’m really happy with the four-minute segment although it’s eerie seeing myself on TV. It was hard to concentrate on what was going on when I watched it because I kept thinking things like “I’ve never noticed that there’s such a big gap between my hair and my bangs, and what’s with this bottle in the background? Aaaah! My knee is sticking out at a really awkward angle!”
But all in all a really memorable experience, and I want to commend the Kulturplatz team for climbing the four stories to my apartment with their heavy gear in tow and also thank them profusely for producing such a beautiful feature and sharing the veterans’ stories. For the first time ever my Billag fees were well invested.

“Schutzengel auf Pfoten,” reportage about a dog who detects low blood sugar in kids with diabetes, in collaboration with Manuela von Ah, for wir eltern magazine, March 20, 2013.
I’ve been fortunate to shoot some really cool and interesting stories for wir eltern magazine, usually involving families and kids because…well, uh, it’s a publication for parents! – Just last week, I shot another story for them in a children’s hospital and one on a farm some weeks ago. Also, I really like how the editors open the spreads with big pictures. The magazine feels generous and lively.
